This football shirt harks back to the mid 2000s when Reggina were a regular fixture in Serie A, including 7 year spell from 2002 to 2009. It is classic dark red with the GICOS sponsor, and made by sportswear firm Onze .The shirt is in good condition, apart from the small sponsor above GICOS has faded almost completely. (This did say Stocco & Stocco).
There is something quite special about the Reggina badge, and I love the long sleeves on this. Some top players passed through Reggio Calabria in the 2000s, including Andrea Pirlo, Nicolo Amoroso, Rolando Bianchi and the Celtic bound Shunsuke Nakamura.
Now in Serie B, hoping for a revival under Filipo Inzaghi, this is a shirt from a time when Reggina mixed it with Italy's elite. A collectors item for those who grew up with Football Italia, and for fans of these stylish underdogs from Southern Italy
